Retaining the spacious and accommodating “Challenger” cabin, the Challenger 605 welcomes 10-12 passengers with a combination of club, divan, and individual seating. Its cabin, measuring 6.1 feet in height, over 7 feet in width, and extending 28.3 feet in length, is perfectly suited for extended journeys. A recent makeover caters to every customer desire, featuring larger and better-positioned windows for enhanced viewing pleasure, an upgraded Ethernet-based management system, larger video monitors, an improved galley area, robust worktables, and comprehensive LED lighting. Notable advancements extend to the avionics system, where Bombardier replaced the 604’s Pro Line 4 system with the more sophisticated Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 suite. With similar wings and engines as its predecessor, it matches the 604’s performance capabilities, covering over 4,000 nautical miles at a maximum Mach 0.80. Its maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) stands at 48,200 lbs. Notably, the Challenger 605 surpasses its predecessor in several key areas, with a payload increase to 5,015 lbs, an additional 200 lbs. This improvement is complemented by design modifications, relocated fuel tanks, including one aft bladder tank and an expanded tailcone tank, optimizing weight distribution and fuel efficiency.
